6:00pm - 7:00pm
Pre: Requisite: Basic recent sewing experience or have taken a "Try Sewing" Stitch Lab with Sewcial prior to attending.
Ever wished you could fix, adjust, or refresh your favorite clothes instead of letting them sit in the back of your closet? We will teach you how to make your wardrobe work better for you!
This workshop is all about practical skills. Learn to hem pants, repair tears, and make small fit adjustments, all while gaining confidence to tackle clothing challenges at home. Bring your own garments, and we will guide you step by step with expert tips and tricks.
Why Take This Workshop?
Save money by repairing instead of replacing clothing.
Reduce waste and upcycle your wardrobe.
Learn skills that will last a lifetime.
What to Expect:
A hands-on, beginner-friendly environment.
Personalized guidance on your specific alteration and repair needs.
Useful techniques that you can apply to any garment.
Tools list will be sent upon registration so you can be equipped to take your projects home and become the atelier that you will become.
This class will include the use of sewing machines. Though, much emphasis will be placed on how to achieve alterations, create mark-ups on your projects, and do some preparations as a group to get your project ready for sewing at home.
Requirements:
Participants should have basic sewing machine experience or must complete our prerequisite "Try Sewing" workshop.
Bring your own garment(s) to demonstrate and explore as a group, and work on.
