We’re proud to be an official Program Provider for Girl Scouts Heart of Central California (and yep — your instructor is a lifelong Girl Scout herself, Troop 422 F.O.R.E.V.E.R. 💚). Scouts from all organizations are welcome to stitch, craft, and giggle their way to a badge.
Our most popular Scout projects are both beginner-friendly and big on wow-factor:
✨ Mending Kit Bag — stitch your own little bag, then learn about the handy tools tucked inside.
✨ Pillow Project — sew it, fluff it, and flop onto your new creation with pride.
Either way, you walk out with new skills, a finished project, and patch-earning bragging rights.
Group Size: 6–15 participants (siblings and friends welcome to help meet minimums).
Age Rule: Scouts must be at least 8 years old AND midway through 3rd grade. This keeps things safe and ensures everyone has the dexterity and stamina to succeed. A Girl Scout is honest — please honor this requirement.
When: Saturdays and after-school time slots available. Events book up months ahead, so snag your date soon!
Chaperones: At least one leader must stay with the troop. Space is limited, so non-participating guests are best left at home.
Cost: $75 per Scout for 1.5 hours of guided instruction. All machines, materials, and supplies are included. 6-Scout minimum to book.
Payment: A deposit (or payment in full) is required to reserve your troop’s spot. Once your date is confirmed, you’ll receive a private booking portal for payment and info. See cancellation/postponement policies here.
Patches: Troops can bring their own or order through Sewcial for $5 each (paid at booking).
Sewing machines are powerful tools — and we love teaching kids how to use them responsibly. If a troop, on average, isn’t quite ready to complete the project safely, we’ll pivot to a “Fundamentals of Machine Operation” session instead. Scouts still earn their patch while learning the most important skill of all: safe sewing!
Let’s make your next troop outing unforgettable. Inquire today to grab your date before our calendar fills up!
