Three mornings. Six impressive projects. One seriously good Fall break.
This Fall Break, kids aren’t just setting the table—they’re sewing it, decorating it and filling it with things they made themselves.
Campgiving is a three-day creative feast filled with sewing, upcycling, quilting, handcrafting, food-inspired fun and one very special community project.
Campers will transform something they already own, create a handmade Thanksgiving table collection and help Sewcial pack the donations collected during our month-long food drive.
It’s part sewing camp, part design studio and part holiday-helper headquarters—with a full plate of Sewcial shenanigans.
Your sweatshirt called. It wants a personality.
Each camper brings a clean sweatshirt or hoodie from home and chooses from a menu of creative transformations. Depending on their design and experience, campers may:
Add a patch, kangaroo or contrast pocket
Add or transform a hood
Create appliqué or fabric panels
Add trims, patches and hand-sewn details
Try reverse appliqué as an advanced option
Newer sewists will receive plenty of guidance, while returning campers can choose techniques that give them a fresh challenge. No two sweatshirts will leave looking alike—and that is exactly the point.
Campers will create a handmade Thanksgiving table collection worthy of the good plates—including:
Two cottagecore-inspired appliqué placemats
Quilted or beautifully bound edges
Handmade napkin rings
A miniature fall terrarium centerpiece
We’ll mix machine sewing, quilting and hands-on crafting so campers can explore several different techniques without spending the entire morning at a sewing machine.
Their finished collection can become part of the family’s Thanksgiving table—or officially establish the kids’ table as the best table.
And because making a Thanksgiving table without eating anything would be deeply unreasonable, we’ll take a break to make and enjoy s’mores together.
We’ll finish our creative feast with projects made for sharing.
Campers will layer the dry ingredients for a delicious fall recipe into a jar, then add a fabric topper, recipe card and handmade gift tag. The finished jar goes home ready to bake with the family or give to someone special.
Throughout the month, Sewcial will collect shelf-stable food for a local organization. On the final day of camp, campers will sew reusable soft fabric bags and help sort and pack the collected donations for delivery.
They won’t just hear about giving back. They’ll use their own hands to become part of it.

Each camper must bring one clean sweatshirt or hoodie that fits comfortably and is ready to be permanently transformed. A plain or gently used sweatshirt is perfect.
Sewcial provides the sewing machines, fabrics, trims, tools and all additional project supplies.
